Many have asked me, is your book fiction or non-fiction? They say the scenes and characters are a bit too realistic to be fabricated. But of course it is fiction, I tell them. Yet, no one seems to believe this fact to be true.

There is one fundamental fact regarding all written works and that is that a person was highly compelled to tell a story. That fact in itself means there is a vested interest.  The scenes and characters come from dreams, observation, imagination, eduction, experience and the powers of the subconscious, and so they are real on some level. My book is a synthesis of all of these factors.  My characters came boldly to life and led me a a very unique journey.

So, you might say "The House on Black Lake" is a work of no-fiction, or a no-fi. I created an altered reality, an alternate world to lead my readers along the perilous path I have  traveled. I like to think of my novel as a carnival ride, where you are swept away to another place, enjoying the seduction and terror, while belted safely inside.

It is perhaps more exciting and profound to learn from a REAL journey where an individual has been bold in action, not just with keyboard or pen. I will take that credit as it is due. I have taken a journey through the underground and am still forging may way, ready to embark on the next fork beyond Black Lake, to another adventure, even more astounding, satisfying and complex.

I hope my No-Fi  is an inspiration for those who desire to be bold in both word and action.
